Chalk Stream Fly Fishing with Famous Fishing

The spring-fed English chalk streams are the ancestral home of both dry fly and nymph fishing, and offer some of the finest clear water trout fishing in the world.

The Lamb at Hindon is situated within easy reach of all the major chalk streams, and the River Avon and its tributaries, the Wylye, Nadder, Ebble and Bourne, are only minutes away.

Private Beats
Famous Fishing has private water on all these streams, as well as the Rivers Test, Itchen, Kennet and most of their tributaries, and on the Dorset rivers Frome and Piddle.

Private beats are available from £90 + vat per rod, with guides (all qualified instructors) from £160 + vat per day. Premium equipment is also available for hire.

Fly Fishing Tuition
Novices are welcome – we have a secluded and well-stocked 2 acre lake within 10 minutes of the Lamb, on which you can learn the basic skills before graduating onto a river beat the following day. Cost including one to one instruction and equipment is £220 + vat per day

Corporate and Group Fishing Days
The Lamb is the perfect spot for an overnight stay for parties fishing either on the Heale Estate on the River Avon or the Hurdcott Estate on the River Nadder, where packages are available for groups of 6 -12 rods with equipment, guides and full hospitality.
